Exciting Sangarius bang on course for Dewhurst says Stoute

Sir Michael Stoute on Tuesday reported his exciting juvenile Sangarius was in great shape for Saturday's Darley Dewhurst Stakes, one of two Group 1s in a star-studded Future Champions Festival at Newmarket.

Stoute ran Expert Eye in the seven-furlong event last season, but he disappointed when last of nine and the trainer is hoping Sangarius can make amends carrying the same Khalid Abdullah colours.

The son of Kingman ran out a narrow winner at Newmarket on his debut, before a highly impressive victory in Doncaster's Listed Flying Scotsman Stakes.
