Everything you need for the action on a busy bank holiday

Warwick: one of seven tracks racing today in Britain and Ireland
1 of 1

It's been a busy last week with the Punchestown festival and the Newmarket Classics and there is little let up on this bank holiday Monday with seven meetings in Britain and Ireland.

The Curragh hosts the best of the action, with Latrobe and Magical among a select four-runner field for the Mooresbridge Stakes (4.10).

Unlike the slightly longer gap in Britain, the break between jumps seasons in Ireland lasted all of one day, with Down Royal staging the first meeting of the new campaign.

Fixtures at Warwick, Kempton, Beverley, Windsor and Bath ensure there are plenty of options for racegoers.

Final thought

The best quality comes from the Curragh today, which makes you wonder why there is not a meeting of similar quality in Britain on this bank holiday Monday, a day when many people can actually go racing.
