The most popular horse in Tote Ten To Follow teams, Envoi Allen, gave the 24,695 stables who selected him little to worry about as he put in an accomplished round of jumping to collect the Killiney Novice Chase at Punchestown on Sunday and 17.32 points for his followers.

Unfortunately for last week's table-toppers Rubbish Mario Sisters 46, they were not among the 65.1 per cent of teams who included the Cheveley Park star among their ten, so they lose the lead after only one week to Emilys Joy by the fine margin of 344.46 points to 343.04, with Brian Ellison 436, another Envoi Allen fan, breathing down their necks on 342.42.

Most of the significant scorers came in Ireland last week, with the Willie Mullins-trained Energumene getting the ball rolling at Naas. He may have claimed only 11.6 points for 44 stables but those teams will be relishing the build-up to the Cheltenham Festival where Energumene looks likely to be a major Arkle Chase contender.

Bob Olinger also advertised his festival prospects in the Grade 1 Lawlor's Of Naas Novice Hurdle, gaining 28.7 points for 266 stables, while Aramax picked up 24 points in a beginners' chase at Fairyhouse on Saturday.

Former Mullins star Next Destination demonstrated his Cheltenham credentials at Warwick on Saturday, picking up 21.4 points. That puts him on 44.70 points for the competition and into 11th place among the leading horses. Envoi Allen is also just outside the top ten, for now, in 12th spot on 43.42. Bob Olinger moved into 16th on 41.84.

Adrimel (25.7 points for 43 stables) and Edwardstone (11.7 points for 323 stables) also put in eyecatching performances on Saturday. The latter may have a chance to scoop bonus points in the Betfair Hurdle.

Before that, there is crucial points potential for Ten to Follow teams in the Clarence House at Ascot on Saturday, when Politologue (fourth in the table of leading horses with 53.60 points) and Defi Du Seuil (representing 31.6% of stables, the ninth most popular pick) likely to clash.
