Beaten John Durkan Memorial Chase favourite Envoi Allen may take a marked drop in trip over the Christmas period, according to Cheveley Park Stud's Chris Richardson.

After winning his first 11 starts under rules, the dual Cheltenham Festival winner has now scored on just one of his last four outings and finished sixth behind Allaho in the Punchestown Grade 1 highlight.
