Dunlop eyeing Prix d'Ispahan for stable star Robin Of Navan
Robin Of Navan is set for a return to France for his next race after delighting trainer Harry Dunlop with his effort in a classy renewal of the Prix d'Harcourt on Sunday.
The four-year-old, who provided his trainer with his first top-level victory when winning the Criterium de Saint-Cloud as a juvenile, finished fourth in the Chantilly Group 2, beaten two lengths.
His next outing is likely to be in the Prix d'Ispahan back at Chantilly on May 28.
"He's absolutely fine and I'm really pleased with how he's come out of it," said Dunlop. "It was a bloody hot race and quite fast ground, so we were really pleased. I think if he'd have had a run beforehand he'd have been second or third.
"I think the aim is the Prix d'Ispahan at the end of May."
Dunlop also outlined plans for Flight Of Fantasy, who defeated Investec Derby entries Face The Facts and Glassy Waters at Leicester recently.
Held in high regard by the Lambourn trainer, she is set to contest an Oaks trial next.
"She smashed a few reputations at Leicester," Dunlop added. "I think we'll enter her for the Pretty Polly Stakes at Newmarket and the Lingfield Oaks Trial, which is all but a mile and a half. That's the potential plan to see if we can get some black type.
"She'd have to win really well to consider supplementing for the Oaks, but she's in the Italian Oaks. We'll have to see how she gets on the in her trial."
