Doncaster in search of new sponsors for key races at St Leger meeting

Doncaster is already working on sponsorship deals for the 2022 St Leger meeting after three of the biggest races of the fixture went unsupported this year.

There was no backer for the Doncaster Cup, Champagne Stakes or Portland Handicap last week, when Cazoo took over as title sponsors for the first time.

Acknowledging the shortfall, executive director Rachel Harwood said: "A lot of businesses have been challenged in the last 18 months but we are working with partners already for 2022.
