A clash between two ex-Willie Mullins-trained star staying chasers could be on the cards at Down Royal on Saturday week as Valseur Lido and Don Poli look set to look horns in the Grade 1 JNwine.com Champion Chase.

Valseur Lido, now in the care of Henry de Bromhead, is ready to get his season under way.

“The plan is to run and it looks an ideal starting point,” De Bromhead said. “It’s early days with him but he looks a lovely recruit to have in the yard.
