Delta Work, Apple's Jade and Samcro are among ten surprise Gordon Elliott-trained entries for Cheltenham Trials day on Saturday, with the Gold Cup-winning trainer keen to keep his options open in light of a dry forecast leading up to the Dublin Racing Festival.

Officials at Leopardstown are beginning selective watering on the chase course this week and Elliott has joined fellow leading trainers Willie Mullins and Noel Meade in advocating the Dublin venue adds moisture to the track as necessary.

Regarding his weekend Cheltenham entries, Elliott said on Monday: "We're keeping all options open at the moment and I'm not sure what we're going to run."
