Roger Teal reckons Tip Two Win could develop into the best horse he has trained after he saw the juvenile shoot clear to record an impressive victory in the $100,000 Al Rayyan Stakes in Doha on Friday.

Anne Cowley's Listed winner was being aimed at the Breeders' Cup but did not make the cut, so Teal switched targets from west to east and it paid off in style when the son of Dark Angel struck by four and a half lengths under David Probert.

"I'm over the moon," said Teal, who has won valuable handicaps in Dubai and a Newmarket Group 3 with Steele Tango, but anticipates Tip Two Win improving past his former stable star.

"He was slowly away like his normally his, but they go a million miles out here and David got him travelling and once he got him out of a pocket and kicked him on, he put the race to bed lovely and was galloping away at the end.

"Steele Tango had a rating of 114, but this fella will probably be better because he's a much earlier starter. He's the best two-year-old I've had for sure and will possibly be my best horse."

There are no firm plans for Tip Two Win, although the Al Biddah Mile, which Simon Dow won with Mr Scaramanga in the spring, is a possibility back at Doha on February 24.

"You've got to respect this little horse," added Teal, who relocated from Epsom to Great Shefford near Lambourn in 2016.

"He's got a huge heart, he's tough and everything we throw at him he does not disappoint you. We thought he'd appreciate the fast ground and he glided. Whatever we do with him we're going to have some exciting days.

"The way he's won tonight you wouldn't worry about taking him anywhere, and I can't see a mile being problem."
