Date set for Morrison hearing over Our Little Sister case
A date has been set for trainer Hughie Morrison to appear before the disciplinary panel after Our Little Sister's failed drugs test in January.
The case will be heard at the BHA headquarters in High Holborn, London, on December 19 and 20.
The trainer has vigorously protested his innocence, calling in the police and offering a reward for information, suspecting the horse was the victim of foul play from someone outside his yard.
Death of Jury Duty owner
Ciaran Collins, part of the Sideways Syndicate which owns Jury Duty, lost his battle with cancer just days after the Gordon Elliott-trained six-year-old won the the Grade 2 Florida Pearl Novice Chase at Punchestown on Sunday and reduced winning jockey Robbie Power to tears.
Power's post-race interview on Attheraces made for very sad viewing as he dedicated the success to his life-long field Collins, whom he went to primary school with.
Collins will repose at his home on Moyglare Road, Maynooth on Thursday, November 23 from 2pm to 8pm. There will be a funeral mass on Friday at 3pm in the Church of the Nativity, Moynalvey followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations if desired to the Irish Cancer Society.
