Curran set to 'take his time' with star chaser
Anthony Curran has a battle on his hands to restore Flemenstar back to the peaks of his powers as the 11-year-old is currently on the easy list with joint trouble.
In his pomp, Flemenstar won seven chases on the bounce between November 2011 and December 2012 and landed four Grade 1s in total.
The latest of those top level triumphs came last season when ridden by Andrew Lynch – surging up the Leopardstown straight to deny Simply Ned in the Dial-A-Bet Chase.
"He's on the easy list at the moment and definitely won't be seen this side of Christmas," Curran said.
"He is just walking at the minute. Hopefully we can get him back, but we will let him tell us when he is ready.
"It's not as bad as when he did his tendon, but at the same time, he owes us nothing and we will take our time with him."
