Gambling firms were told on Wednesday that the review which resulted in a crackdown on FOBT stakes was not the end of government action in the sector and that gambling on credit cards was set to be reviewed.

Mims Davies, the new minister for sport and civil society, issued the warning at the GambleAware conference in London.

Davies was giving her first public speech on gambling since taking over from Tracey Crouch, who resigned last month in a row over the implementation of the maximum £2 stake on FOBTs.
