Cheltenham to mark Many Clouds anniversary by screening film

Many Clouds on his way to victory in the 2015 Crabbie's Grand National
1 of 1

Many Clouds will be remembered at Cheltenham on the anniversary of his death this month with the screening of the film Many Clouds – The People's Horse on Festival Trials Day, January 27.

The film was produced by Equine Productions and directed by former jockey Nathan Horrocks, who rode the 2015 Grand National winner in his work at home. The film remembers the courageous Trevor Hemmings-owned gelding, who died following his head victory over Thistlecrack in the Grade 2 Cotswold Chase on Festival Trials Day a year ago.

This year, following the running of the last race at 4.10pm, Many Clouds – The People's Horse will be shown on TV screens across the racecourse.

The performance of Many Clouds at Cheltenham saw the horse, who was ridden by Leighton Aspell throughout his career, subsequently announced as the leading staying chaser in the 2016/17 Anglo Irish Jump Classifications.
