The Rowley Mile racecourse was just coming alive for Sun Chariot day when Palmer pitched up with his Darley Dewhurst Stakes contender at a pre-arranged time of 7.15am on Saturday morning. After two laps of the pre-parade ring, the Acomb Stakes third got down to business when covering six and a half furlongs under Michael Hills. Finishing nicely clear of his lead horse Power Of States, the juvenile handled the undulations better than he had on the neighbouring watered gallop in the summer.
