Bryony Frost hopes to return to action at Sandown on Saturday, having been sidelined since March 18 with a broken collarbone suffered in a fall at Southwell.

The 24-year-old jockey is lined up to ride Present Man for Paul Nicholls in the bet365 Gold Cup, one of five horses the ten-time champion trainer could saddle in the £150,000 race.

Frost, who memorably rode Frodon to success in the Ryanair Chase at the Cheltenham Festival last month, has partnered the eight-year-old in each of his last eight starts, including for two wins in the Listed Badger Ales Trophy at Wincanton.

Speaking from Chepstow, Nicholls said: "She hopes to ride out on Thursday and be back on Saturday."

Frost is set to be crowned champion conditional rider of the season at Sandown on Saturday.

The Young Master was general 8-1 favourite on Monday for the bet365 Gold Cup, with Present Man priced between 12-1 and 16-1.
