'We went into the Sussex hoping we had the best miler in Europe - and we have' - Richard Hannon bullish as he reveals next steps for Rosallion

Richard Hannon is more convinced than ever that Rosallion is the best miler in Europe following last week's narrow Sussex defeat and will give him another chance to prove it in Sunday week's Aga Khan Studs Prix Jacques le Marois.

A Group 1 winner at two and three, Rosallion has gone close at the top level this season including going down by a nose in the Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Last week, the four-year-old failed by just a neck to reel in Qirat , a 150-1 pacemaker, in the Sussex Stakes at Goodwood, where he pulled more than two lengths clear of Group 1 winners Henri Matisse, Docklands and odds-on favourite Field Of Gold, who was subsequently found to be lame.
