'Losing the ride was a tough pill to swallow' - Danny Tudhope revels in Fallen Angel reunion after initial 'heartbreak' of Wathnan sale

Danny Tudhope is hopeful his latest Group 1 success aboard Classic-winning filly Fallen Angel serves as another reminder to leading owners and trainers of his ability to deliver at the highest level.
The 39-year-old had a week to remember as his Golden Mile success on Rhoscolyn at Glorious Goodwood on Friday was followed two days later when he struck on the Wathnan Racing-owned Fallen Angel in Sunday's Prix Rothschild at Deauville. The jockey also managed to squeeze in a double at Doncaster on Saturday, after starting the week with a double at Ayr.
"I had a great week and the season is going well," said Tudhope, who is stable jockey to David O'Meara. "I’ve been riding at the top end for the last couple of years and I’ve managed to bag a few Group 1s on the way. I’m pretty sure that over the last few years I’ve shown I can do it on the big stage. I’ve had a lot of success at the top level and it’s great I can step in and step up for these big owners and trainers.”
