Tiger Roll saga: 'There's a much bigger emphasis on cross-country form in UK'
Ireland's senior jumps handicapper Andrew Shaw has no issue with Tiger Roll's Grand National mark of 161 and any divergence with his rating in Ireland is due to the differences in the way both sides approach cross-country racing.
Michael O'Leary issued a scathing attack on the BHA's handicapper Martin Greenwood on Tuesday for what the Gigginstown House Stud boss described as an "absurd and unfair" mark allotted to the dual winner of the race, and has already ruled out the prospect of Tiger Roll trying to emulate Red Rum.
Greenwood, in stark contrast, was of the opinion some people might accuse him of being "too lenient" on Tiger Roll in allowing him to run off a rating just 2lb above his winning mark in the 2019 Grand National.
