Jockeys are being prevented from doing their jobs properly by the lack of suitable facilities at racecourses, according to senior Flat rider Sean Levey.

The Classic-winning jockey was responding to the deadline set this week by the BHA for tracks to make the necessary upgrades or face sanctions, which the Professional Jockeys Association (PJA) slammed as a "continued failure to grip this issue".

It followed a Racing Post expose last month of weighing-room conditions at some courses, which included the dangerous placement of equipment and inadequate facilities.
