Ombudsman and Meydaan warm up for Group 3 Longchamp clash on Prix du Moulin undercard
Former champion apprentice Benoit de la Sayette rides out the unbeaten Ombudsman most days at John and Thady Gosden's yard, and he was again in the plate when steering the son of Night Of Thunder up the Al Bahathri Polytrack at second lot.
The three-year-old was an impressive winner of the Listed Prix Nureyev at Deauville last time and has been handed another French mission this Sunday in the Group 3 Prix du Prince d’Orange at Longchamp.
Other jockeys in the Clarehaven ranks included James Doyle, who partnered unraced Wathnan Racing juvenile Wicked, a Kingman half-brother to multiple Group 1 winner St Mark’s Basilica.
