Jerry McGrath, who was responsible for purchasing Lulamba from France, believes the sky is the limit for the leading Arkle contender after his stylish success in Grade 1 company at Sandown on Saturday.

The four-year-old made it four wins from five starts since joining Nicky Henderson last year when beating Be Aware by nine and a half lengths in the Grade 1 Henry VIII Novices' Chase. It was a performance that prompted bookmakers to shorten him into 5-2 second favourite for the Arkle, behind 2-1 market leader Kopek Des Bordes.

McGrath, who has enjoyed a successful spell as a bloodstock agent since retiring from the saddle due to injury in 2022, was in attendance at Sandown as he continues to play a pivotal role at Seven Barrows and was impressed with Lulamba's latest Grade 1 triumph.
