Jockey Club lodges objection to building proposal on Epsom land owned by Cheltenham chairman and club member

The Jockey Club has objected to a proposal to build 110 houses on land near Epsom racecourse owned by one of its own members, Cheltenham chairman Martin St Quinton.

Plans were submitted in the summer to build on land at Langley Vale Farm, an area behind Langley village close to the start of the Derby.

As part of the development, a bridleway used by trainers in Epsom to access the training grounds behind the course would potentially be impacted, while concerns have been raised by the Jockey Club, Epsom trainers and residents about the impact of increased traffic.
