'It's the stuff of punting dreams and bookies’ nightmares' - punter turns 52p each-way multiple into five-figure payout

A sharp-eyed punter turned 52p into almost £12,000 after selecting seven winners in a remarkable each-way multiple on Saturday’s racing.

The lucky backer’s selections across Haydock, Kempton, Stratford and Ascot produced a return of £11,777.04 with William Hill.

The bet kicked off at Haydock, where 4-1 shot Zeus Olympios won the opener before Valiancy followed up in the 1m6f handicap. At Kempton, Five Ways edged the Sirenia Stakes by a nose at 5-1, while Abloom was the only Ascot pick at 11-2, before Caprelo pulled three lengths clear back at Kempton in the 2m handicap.

Stratford’s evening card held the final two selections. Hamlet’s Night bolted up by eight lengths at 5-4, before Radharc Na Slaine sealed the deal in the 2m6½f handicap chase by just a neck at 4-1.

One of the initial eight selections, A War Eagle, was withdrawn at Haydock.

"A 26p each-way eight-fold across four Saturday meetings landed, seeing the punter walk away with nearly £12,000.
