The clash to be crowned the Grade 1 king of Ascot is on. Jonbon, winner of the last two Clarence House Chases, and Pic D'Orhy, the winner of the last two Betfair Ascot Chases (3.35), are set for a humdinger in Saturday's final Grade 1 before the Cheltenham Festival – with two jockeys who know how it feels to have won the race split on who will win.

Jonbon and Pic D'Orhy clash for the second time in the 2m5½f contest, with Jonbon 1-0 up after his 2024 Melling Chase win. He is the odds-on favourite to back up his Clarence House Chase success and land a 12th Grade 1 triumph over the furthest distance he has raced over under rules, in a race in which Pic D'Orhy bids for a record-breaking hat-trick.

Noel Fehily and Paddy Brennan know what it takes to win the Ascot Chase, having done so on Silviniaco Conti and Cue Card in 2016 and 2017 respectively, with the latter seeing Saturday's duel "being much closer" than the odds suggest.
