Paul Nicholls has achieved a truly historic feat by scoring 3,000 victories over jumps in Britain, as only Martin Pipe and Nicky Henderson had reached that milestone before.

Nicholls will be crowned champion trainer for the 11th time next week; he will have been first or second in the championship in each of the last 21 seasons.
