'I don't think he was fully extended in the Marois' - Charyn team bullish ahead of Notable Speech clash on Sunday
Charyn is bang on course for his biggest challenge yet in Sunday's Prix du Moulin, with Roger Varian and Silvestre de Sousa optimistic there could be even more to come from one of the stars of the season.
The Queen Anne and Prix Jacques le Marois winner is gearing up for a titanic clash of the generations with 2,000 Guineas and Sussex Stakes hero Notable Speech at Longchamp, while the Aidan O'Brien-trained Henry Longfellow and Group 1-winning French stars Big Rock and Kelina add further depth to the likely line-up after featuring among nine confirmations on Wednesday.
On the go since his successful reappearance at Doncaster in March, Charyn has become the dominant older miler – only Audience has beaten him in five starts this season, in the Lockinge – and connections are hopeful the four-year-old can add another big prize to his increasingly impressive CV.
