'He'll go to Newbury match-fit' - Lockinge favourite set to spearhead stellar older brigade for Richard Hannon

Richard Hannon may have endured a quiet spell over the Guineas weekend but he is set to be the main man at Newbury next week with stable star Rosallion primed to return in the Group 1 Lockinge Stakes.

The four-year-old was the flagbearer for Hannon's Wiltshire yard last year with victory in the Irish 2,000 Guineas, but he has not been seen since landing the St James's Palace Stakes on the opening day of Royal Ascot 11 months ago. 

However, Hannon reported the colt to be in fine fettle ahead of his anticipated return in the Group 1 contest on Saturday week, for which he heads the market at 9-4, and the trainer is resolved to having the favourite match-fit for his upcoming trip to Newbury.
