History maker? Ged Mason set for Cheltenham dash to see Il Ridoto bid for 'special' Paddy Power repeat
Leading owner also has L'Eau Du Sud and Protektorat in contention for this weekend's November meeting

It is 31 years since Bradbury Star became the most recent winner of back-to-back runnings of the Paddy Power Gold Cup and Ged Mason will be doing everything in his power to be at Cheltenham on Saturday for Il Ridoto's attempt to match that particular slice of racing history.
Mason and his ownership partners should be in for an exciting three days at the November meeting, with rising second-season chaser L'Eau Du Sud taking on Jonbon in the Grade 2 Shloer Chase on Friday and Protektorat set to carry a big weight on Sunday.
Twelve months ago Il Ridoto's victory under 18-year-old Freddie Gingell capped a memorable 24 hours for Mason and Sir Alex Ferguson, who had been on hand to watch Spirit Dancer win the $1 million Bahrain Trophy on Friday.
