Field Of Gold camp eye Group 1 options after 'complete' Ascot performance earns blockbuster rating

The Sussex Stakes and Juddmonte International have emerged as the possible next targets for Field Of Gold after his scintillating St James's Palace Stakes victory at Royal Ascot last week.
Juddmonte's general manager Barry Mahon said it would be either Glorious Goodwood on July 30 or a trip to France for the Prix Jacques le Marois – the same race won after Royal Ascot success by his sire Kingman – two and a half weeks later for the John and Thady Gosden-trained colt.
However, a step up in trip for the £1.25 million Juddmonte International, which was recognised as the world's best race last year, was deemed "very possible" by Mahon, and the York showpiece comes just three days after the Marois at Deauville.
