Ffos Las calls off Tuesday's meeting due to a waterlogged track

Tuesday's fixture at Ffos Las has been called off due to a waterlogged track following an inspection on Monday.
After the course was hit by around 18mm of rain overnight, an 8am inspection was quickly arranged, at which the saturated surface was deemed unfit for racing.
Significant standing water on the track was reported and on top of that, further heavy rain is forecast throughout the day.
Clerk of the course Tracey O'Meara said: "There is an amber weather warning but we were assured that it was more for the higher ground as opposed to us, but we got hit by it too.
"There's no respite as the persistent rain is set to continue until 6pm and heavy showers are forecast for tomorrow. There was no chance for things to improve."
The cancellation of the six-race card leaves three afternoon fixtures on Tuesday at Southwell over jumps, Lingfield on the all-weather and Clonmel in Ireland. A twilight meeting at Newcastle completes the day's schedule.
