Exciting Gimcrack winner has trainer's phone buzzing with offers to buy - but thrilled owners insist he's not for sale

Declan Carroll's phone has been buzzing with potential buyers for unbeaten Gimcrack winner Lifeplan but the colt is not for sale and is being geared up to return in this month's Tattersalls Middle Park Stakes.

Lifeplan had won only a Thirsk novice before lining up for the Group 2 at York, but he got the better of more experienced rivals from major stables and has been handed an opening rating of 111 ahead of his Group 1 assignment at Newmarket on September 27.

Such a promising talent has inevitably attracted plenty of interest, but owner Martin Tedham has not yet been tempted by any of the offers placed on the table for the €165,000 Orby Book 1 purchase.
