Hart looking forward to Breeders' Cup adventure as Highfield Princess confirmed

Leading British hope Highfield Princess was among the pre-entries for next Saturday's Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint and her regular partner Jason Hart is hoping his track experience will make it a fruitful trip to Keeneland.

The John Quinn-trained mare was rated just 58 when she won her first race in September 2020 but has blossomed subsequently and completed a Group 1 hat-trick at the Curragh in September.

That followed successes in the Prix Maurice de Gheest and Nunthorpe and Hart, speaking at Nottingham on Wednesday, said: "I ride her out every morning and she's in great form. It's nice to have got a little break into her after the Flying Five and she seems in a good place.

"It's good for me to have some experience at the track, having ridden Safe Voyage there in 2020, and I'm looking forward to heading back."

Highfield Princess is a general 2-1 shot to win her fourth straight Group 1 and heads the market with American speedster Golden Pal, who won the race last year for trainer Wesley Ward.

She is one of several British-trained runners who may travel over for the race, with Creative Force, Emaraaty Ana, Flotus, Go Bears Go and Naval Crown all eligible for the Group 1 contest.

Stars align

The world's highest-rated horse Flightline, who posted a Racing Post Rating of 140 at Del Mar in September, features among the pre-entries for the Breeders' Cup Classic.

The John Sadler-trained four-year-old drew comparisons to Secretariat after his 19-and-a-half-length victory in the Pacific Classic and is generally 1-2 for the feature race of the meeting.

Leading British hope Nashwa features in the pre-entries for the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Turf, while The Platinum Queen is in the Breeders Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint.

Kinross is also on track to bid for a Group 1 hat-trick in the Breeders' Cup Mile and could be joined by shock Champions' Day winner Bayside Boy, French Group 1 winner Dreamloper and the globetrotting Modern Games.
