Breeders' Cup ace Sharing primed for Royal Ascot bid
A transatlantic raid is on the cards for Sharing after last year’s Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf winner was given the go-ahead to take her chance in the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot on June 20.
The Graham Motion-trained daughter of Speightstown returned to action with a half-length win at Churchill Downs last month, paving the way for the US turf phenomenon to line up against some of Europe’s best three-year-old fillies.
“Objective number one was to get a good race into her on May 23 at Churchill," Aron Wellman of Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners, who owns the filly along with Antony Beck's Gainesway Stable, told Bloodhorse.com.
“As of this moment, between Graham, myself, and Antony Beck, we feel pretty comfortable with the logistics of getting Sharing to England ahead of the Coronation [Stakes] and with the efficiency of being able to get her back as well.
"If she continues to train as impressively over the course of the next 10-12 days or so, puts in a good work the weekend of the 13th at Fair Hill, and comes out of it well, our inclination is to go to Royal Ascot."
