1 of 1

Sean Bowen and Lizzie Kelly, who were both stood down from their remaining rides at Uttoxeter on Thursday night after race three, expect to resume on Friday.

Bowen believes he damaged soft tissue in his wrist after taking a fall from Kalanisi Glen in the 2m novice hurdle, while Kelly, who partnered the runner-up Free One, felt unwell on returning to unsaddle.

“I fell straight onto my wrist and thumb. I think I damaged some soft tissue,” Bowen said. “I’m feeling a lot better now after a bit of rest. I’ll see the physio at Aintree tonight, but expect to be riding there.”

Kelly, who has one ride at Newton Abbot on Friday, said: “I’ve had a bit of a virus, but it seems to be easing off.”
