Bottle job - gallivanting Osborne lays down gauntlet to Flat's finest

Calling all Flat jockeys. A challenge has been set and it is time for you to step up to the mark, or face continued accusations about your lack of bottle from the jumps brigade.

Trainer Jamie Osborne, who seems to enjoy nothing more than filming himself gallivanting around on horseback in Lambourn, has launched a new game that he is calling #checkthebottle.

Inspired by a recent impromptu schooling session when jump jockey-turned Flat rider Dougie Costello rode the stable’s Spot alongside Osborne, the trainer says in a video message: “I’m going to invite all current Flat jockeys to come and ride out for me whenever they like, and at the end of the morning we’ll get Spot out and jump him over the fences.
