Just a day after Bath's Good Friday fixture in April was applauded for an attendance pushing 10,000, the unveiling of the 2020 fixture list on Tuesday revealed the track will no longer stage the popular meeting from next year, with owners Arena Racing Company expressing disappointment at the outcome.

The fixture will instead switch to independent racecourse Chelmsford, which outbid Arc in an auction for the right to stage the meeting on April 10, when Lingfield and Newcastle also race.

All three Good Friday fixtures are owned by the BHA, with the previous three-year lease acquired by Arc up for renewal this year.
