Crimean Tatar, a runaway debut winner at Newmarket on Friday evening, will have his Classic credentials tested at York next month.

The Ladbrokes St Leger entry won his 1m4f maiden by seven lengths and trainer Hugo Palmer is ready to step the Sea The Stars colt into the trial that is the Group 2 Betway Great Voltigeur Stakes on August 17.

Betway make him a 16-1 chance for the Voltigeur behind 9-2 favourite Idaho, while Ladbrokes quote him at 33-1 for the St Leger at Doncaster on September 10.
