BHA vows to have concrete proposals by the spring as strategy work begins

The BHA has vowed to have a concrete set of long-term strategy proposals for British racing by the spring and says work has already begun on following up this week's pivotal talks among the sport's leadership.

The two-day industry strategy meeting concluded on Wednesday with a recognition from British racing's leaders that there was a need for "serious and radical change" and the BHA's director of strategy and change Alison Enticknap has said that those developing proposals would now consult more widely to gain the perspective of punters, broadcasters and bookmakers.

The 19 industry figures who were involved in the strategy talks agreed that they would not speak publicly about the discussions or go into detail at this point.
