As the world's greatest sportsmen and women strut their stuff in the Rio Olympics, racing is turning its attention to getting the best out of its own human athletes.

Jockeys may be generally more Mo Farah than Usain Bolt in physique, but exactly what affects performance in the saddle will come under discussion on Friday.

At Liverpool John Moores University, the BHA, in conjunction with the university, is hosting a conference entitled 'Developing The Jockey Athlete'.
