Beverley revealed on Friday it is to stage a tribute to award-winning journalist Tom O'Ryan, who died on Tuesday aged 61, on their Beverley Bullet card on Saturday.

O'Ryan rode his first winner as a jockey at Beverley on July 5, 1972 in the East Gate Apprentice Handicap aboard the David Chapman-trained Vivacious Boy. The apprentice handicap which closes Saturday's card (6.05) will now be run under the same name.
