There could be a big Charles Byrnes double on day three of the Cheltenham Festival as he also saddles leading Stayers' Hurdle contender Blazing Khal. He is already a course-and-distance winner and made his return from a long injury absence with an impressive win in Navan's Boyne Hurdle.

He could head a strong Irish team that also includes the Gordon Elliott-trained Teahupoo, who was the first horse to beat great mare Honeysuckle in the Hatton's Grace Hurdle. He made a winning start over 3m easily at Gowran Park on his last start.

The star of the show is two-time Stayers' Hurdle winner Flooring Porter, who has not won this season so far and has had a troubled preparation to make it to the Cheltenham Festival in time, but thrives at this track.
