So that's the Craven meeting in the books, and the bad news is that we are no nearer knowing how the sprint division, or the 2,000 Guineas, is shaping up. I guess it is only bad news if you dislike uncertainty, whereas we punters should welcome it. 

At least the Wood Ditton winner, Portcullis, looked good. When did that race come back into fashion? It was a joke on the same level as the Free Handicap when I were a lad. Even the race's worst winner this decade, High Stock last year, went on to achieve a Racing Post Rating of 109.
