What to spend your free horse racing bets on
Dixon Cove is expected to make it two from two for trainer Paul Nicholls in the Listed filies' juvenile hurdle (12.55 Aintree). She displayed promise with three placed efforts in France previously and could have plenty more to offer with that experience under her belt.
A chance is taken on Chantry House to deliver a successful reappearance in the big race at Aintree, the Grade 2 Many Clouds Chase (1.30). The talented dual Grade 1-winning chaser boasts an excellent record fresh. In fact, the Nicky Henderson-trained eight-year-old has form figures of 11111 after a break of at least 91 days. He could benefit from a likely pace battle up front between likely favourite Ahoy Senor and Dashel Drasher.
For those bettors who chase value selections, you could do worse than support Domaine De L'Isle at huge each-way odds in the Becher Handicap Chase over the Grand National fences (2.05). The son of Network enjoyed these unique fences last term, finishing an excellent fourth, and could go close from a lenient handicap mark. He has dropped 15lb below that mark subsequently.
Hometown Hero (2.33 Wetherby) is one to note on his second chase outing following a pleasing debut over fences on his reappearance. He could improve for the rise in distance as a winning pointer over three miles.
Authorised Speed can back up an easy novice hurdle victory at Lingfield in the opener at Sandown (12.00). Gary Moore's representative backed up an impressive fifth in the Champion Bumper and looks capable of taking high rank over hurdles this season.
The Jane Williams stable have started to hit form, which bodes well for Hermes Boy, who could go well at an each-way price in the competitive handicap hurdle (2.20 Sandown). He could improve for a reappearance effort at Worcester.
