Ben Clarke is determined to show what his yard can achieve on the big stage as the trainer bids for his biggest win with The Galloping Bear in the Coral Welsh Grand National at Chepstow on Tuesday (2.50).

The Dorset-based trainer had a notable success in the Haydock Grand National Trial with The Galloping Bear in February, but the nine-year-old was disqualified last month after a positive post-race sample of prohibited raceday substance dantrolene.

The Galloping Bear is a 7-1 shot with the sponsors to provide Clarke with a major triumph in just his second season with a full jumps licence. Regular rider and Welsh-born jockey Ben Jones is set to have his first ride in the Chepstow showpiece.
