Charlotte Jones gives up Sedgefield rides following Catterick fall
Conditional jockey Charlotte Jones gave up her rides at Sedgefield on Friday after suffering concussion in a fall at Catterick the day before.
Jones crashed out at the third hurdle in a 1m7f race at the Yorkshire track on Thursday and the field had to bypass that flight when they came round again as she was still being treated.
"She suffered a concussion and she went to hospital in Leeds," trainer Jimmy Moffatt said. "They did a CT scan and that was clear. Charlotte will stay under observation at home for the next 24 hours."
Jones, who had extended her personal best by riding her 18th winner of the season on Captain Westie earlier on the card at Catterick, had three booked rides for Moffatt at Sedgefield.

Amateur rider breaks bone in her back in Doncaster fall
Amateur rider Amy Corrado has broken a bone in her back from a fall aboard Rickety Gate at Doncaster last week.
The Nicky Richards-trained gelding was in contention when falling heavily two hurdles from home and the trainer provided an update on the jockey on Wednesday.
He said: "Amy is in Sheffield hospital, they kept her in overnight and may keep her in today and maybe tomorrow. She's got a broken bone in her back and she's concussed.
"I went and saw her last night and I've spoken to her again today, she's trying to work out what happened. She'll need to rest up and these things take time but I'm sure she'll be back."
Richards also reported his stable star Crystal Glory is out for the season after being pulled up at Haydock on December 30.
Robinson back soon after being knocked out
Jockey Ben Robinson could return to the saddle next week after being knocked out when unseated at Southwell last Friday.
Robinson was unshipped from the Brian Ellison-trained Minhaaj after the mare reared coming out of the stalls in the 7f handicap and was taken to hospital for further checks.
Ellison, for whom Robinson mainly rides, said: "He's all right. He was a bit shaken up as you can imagine, he was knocked out and was taken to hospital, but he's okay now and has been riding out for me again. We hope he'll be riding on the track again soon."
Racing Welfare launches app to provide 24-7 support for industry
Racing Welfare has launched a new app designed to provide 24-7 support for those in the industry to access help when they need it.
The app is aimed at anyone working in or retired from the British racing and thoroughbred breeding industries, and allows people to access information, advice and support services all the time.
Brian Watson, regional welfare manager at Racing Welfare, said: "It's a super resource for anyone who might need to access our services – all the information you can get from our welfare teams can be found on the app.
"I particularly think that the discrete route into our services that the app offers is going to be of huge value to racing staff, as well as the ability to connect with a counsellor at the touch of a button, whether at work, travelling to the races or at home."
