Gai Waterhouse, the most famous face in Australian racing, believes the rising of the dough is a fair price to pay for the increasingly bitter scrap.

Waterhouse, a celebrity in her homeland in a way none of her European counterparts comes close to rivalling, also believes British racing would be made stronger if syndicate ownership could blossom as it has in Australia.
