Billesdon Brook out of Ascot Group 3 due to softening ground
Former Classic heroine Billesdon Brook will not run in the Group 3 Valiant Fillies' Stakes (3.05) at Ascot due to the softening ground.
The Richard Hannon-trained five-year-old, a close second behind Nazeef in the Falmouth Stakes at Newmarket last time, was set to clash with Miss O Connor in the event over a mile.
The going at Ascot is now good after 8mm of rain fell throughout Saturday and into Sunday.
Having been good to firm, good in places on Saturday morning, the rain has seen the ground to ease to good.
The eight-race card, which starts at 12.45, is headlined by the Group 3 Princess Margaret Stakes (3.40), for which More Beautiful is the 5-4 favourite.
The going at York remains good, good to firm in places. The John Gosden-trained Franconia is odds-on to win the feature on the Knavesmire, the Listed Lyric Fillies Stakes (3.20).
The Curragh, which hosts the Group 1 Tattersalls Gold Cup (2.55), has also had rainfall overnight with the going described as yielding and good to yielding on the straight and round courses.
