Michelle Payne created history last year as she became the first female jockey in the 154 years of the Melbourne Cup to win the race when steering 100-1 shot Prince Of Penzance to an unlikely victory.

Since then she has become famous all over the world, but The Dikler doubts few things could have made her happier than the news she has been immortalised in a life-size Belgian chocolate statue.

What will not come as a surprise is the model was made in the US. Unlike Britain, where models tend to be carved in non-edible materials, the Americans prefer to devour their idols and as such 50kgs of Belgian chocolate was shaped into the history-making rider.
