An old magician, a popular veteran and an overjoyed trainer take centre stage
Performance of the week
We are very much into the depths of winter, with the jumps game hogging the headlines, but take a bow Milton Bradley, whose all-weather treble at Lingfield was not only a heartwarming tale but also a magnificent achievement. The 82-year-old Bradley was up before dawn to feed his horses, drove the horsebox the 150 miles from his Chepstow base to Lingfield and then watched as three of his runners hit the bullseye, resulting in a 1,121-1 treble.
Best quote
"I'm an old magician if I am one. I was up at five this morning feeding [the horses]. I must be off my head."
Milton Bradley also seals the best quote for this gem.

The feel good moment
A ten-year-old My Tent Or Yours battling it out up the hill against his year-younger arch-rival The New One to register a first win at Cheltenham was a much needed special moment on a day laced with sadness following the fatal injury sustained by Starchitect.
My Tent Or Yours, a three-time Champion Hurdle runner-up who also finished second in the Supreme Novices' Hurdle, had not won over hurdles since claiming the 2013 Christmas Hurdle under Sir Anthony McCoy, where he beat The New One in what would prove to be the first of many thrilling clashes over hurdles.
My Tent Or Yours has forged a reputation as a slick, strong-travelling type but on Saturday he also showed plenty of guts to prevail in a truly thrilling renewal of the International Hurdle.

See it to believe it
Stormy Ireland, on her first outing for Willie Mullins, showed herself to be a potential star with a demolition job under Danny Mullins in the three-year-old hurdle at Fairyhouse. As far as stable debuts go, winning by 58 lengths isn't a bad start! The filly didn't see another rival as she pulverised her opposition from the front – doing a fair impression of stablemate Un De Sceaux in his days as a young hurdler. Stiffer tasks await but she is clearly an incredibly exciting prospect.
