Mishriff set for £1m York clash as connections sense a chink in Baaeed's armoury

Mishriff is set to provide Baaeed with his greatest challenge yet in next week's Juddmonte International Stakes, with connections of last year's sensational winner hoping the new trip will prove the unbeaten superstar's downfall.

While Baaeed prepares to race beyond a mile for the first time at York, Mishriff will tackle his optimum distance in Wednesday's 1m2½f contest as he bids to claim the scalp of the world's highest-rated horse.

In last year's race, Mishriff produced a career-best when slamming Alenquer by six lengths and although Prince Faisal's five-year-old has not won since, he is ready to defend his crown in the £1 million showpiece.
